For the third consecutive year, Dr. Ilya Lipkin has been named "Top Doc" in his field of orthodontics by his peers. A questionnaire is sent to over 6,000 New Jersey-based dentists who have been licensed for at least 5 years (but less than 50 years). The mailing list is obtained from the New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs. In the end, 1,649 valid entries were received, which makes for a 26% response rate. A significant jump from last year's 18% response rate. Dentists with sufficient votes are placed on a preliminary list. The list is then submitted for professional review by a panel of 15 dentists. The dentists on the panel were chosen from among the top vote getters from the previous year's survey.
